Luxury Resort and Caribbean experienced Executive Housekeeper – for a beautiful villa property in the Bahamas

Situated on one of the pristine beaches of the Bahamas, a luxury resort spans over 100 private villas offering a blend of elegant design, refined service, and unspoiled natural beauty. Catering to high-end travelers and VIP guests, the resort promises a sanctuary of barefoot luxury, privacy, and personalized experiences. Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Executive Housekeeper to lead and inspire the Housekeeping team in maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, presentation, and service across an expansive villa accommodations and public areas. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of luxury hospitality standards , a proactive leadership style, and prior Caribbean resort experience .

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and train a diverse housekeeping team to uphold exceptional standards in guest villas, public spaces, laundry operations, and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure all 100+ villas are immaculately prepared, maintained, and presented in line with luxury expectations and guest preferences.
  • Oversee scheduling, productivity, and operational efficiency while maintaining quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Maintenance, and Guest Services to deliver seamless and personalized guest experiences.
  • Implement and monitor cleaning protocols, inventory controls, linen and amenity stock, and preventative maintenance routines.
  • Develop SOPs and training programs aligned with brand expectations and Forbes or LQA standards.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, anticipating guest needs and addressing feedback with professionalism and urgency.
  • Support sustainability initiatives through eco-friendly practices and product selection within the department.
  • Actively participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic planning and budgeting.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in luxury Housekeeping operations, preferably within villa-style resorts or ultra-luxury properties .
  • Remote island or Caribbean resort experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with high service expectations.
  • Deep knowledge of luxury housekeeping standards, materials, finishes, and cleaning protocols.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish or other languages are an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in pre-opening or renovation projects is an asset.
  • Formal training in hospitality or housekeeping operations (degree or diploma).
  • Experience with PMS and maintenance reporting systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS, ALICE, or similar).
