We are seeking skilled Low Voltage Technicians with strong experience in camera cabling structure and documentation. The primary responsibility for this role is to correctly identify, trace, and document which cables are connected to each device within active hospital and healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and work with camera cabling structures, including tracing and mapping connections
Accurately document cable-to-device connections using client-approved methods and labeling standards
Install, terminate, and test nurse call and low voltage cabling systems in hospitals
Read and follow wiring diagrams, as-builts, and network schematics to verify connections
Maintain detailed documentation of installed systems for client records
Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards and infection control protocols
Escalate any conflicts, inconsistencies, or out-of-scope findings to field leadership
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
Proven ability to identify and document cabling connections for cameras, nurse call, or similar low voltage systems
Hands-on experience in healthcare facilities or other active, occupied environments
Familiarity with ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards and NEC codes
Skilled with CAT5e, CAT6, coaxial cabling, and structured cabling environments
Proficient with cable testers, labeling tools, and documentation practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in recording system layouts
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
2-5 years of low voltage cabling experience (camera cabling documentation preferred)
Ability to independently trace, verify, and document cable-to-device connections
Reliable transportation and ability to work evenings when required
Professionalism and discretion when working in occupied hospital environments
