Clayton Services is searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning shipments, monitoring their progress, and preparing any necessary documents and regulatory requirements.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $20.00-$24.00/hour

Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Manage international logistics (air and ocean freight)
• Update schedule with current packing slips
• Request and book inbound container shipments
• Find ways to keep costs low by utilizing multiple freight companies
• Receive quotes from multiple companies to keep costs as low as possible
• Verify container load plans before shipment
• Confirm what needs to be shipped
• Book outbound container loads
• Verify cost per container
• Complete invoices
• Keep the team updated on the delivery status
• Verify pickup numbers for inbound shipments
• Maintain and update spreadsheets and paperwork
• Organize air and ocean freight
• Other duties as assigned

Logistics Coordinator Education and Experience:

• Associate's degree is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in logistics experience coordinating international freight (ocean) and imports is required.
