We are seeking a Locums Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to provide coverage at a respected hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This position offers flexibility for a provider interested in covering multiple shifts per month or a longer-term locums opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in newborn and pediatric inpatient care and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The provider must be available for this date and open to picking up additional shifts—averaging approximately 8 shifts per month.
Compensation:$1,800-$2,000/day
Assignment Details
Shift Type: 24-hour shifts
Start Date: November 27, 2025 (Thanksgiving Day coverage required)
Schedule: Ongoing needs; average of 8 shifts per month
Setting: Inpatient hospital coverage
Scope of Practice
Provide healthy newborn coverage
Handle occasional, minor Pediatric E.R. consults
Attend deliveries as needed
Offer in-house coverage for NICU patients overnight, with Neonatology backup available
Admit patients to the NICUovernight (within established guidelines)
No procedures required
Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
Active Connecticut medical license required
