Watkins VITAL Care Program is an Adult Day Program located in La Crescenta-Montrose, CA, catering to adults with autism and other disabilities. The program focuses on providing life skills training, community integration, behavioral intervention, and other essential skills to enable participants to access and participate in their community independently. Role Description

This is an on-site role for a Life Skills Coach at Watkins VITAL Care Program. The Life Skills Coach will be responsible for providing daily life skills training, coaching participants, and facilitating personal development activities to enhance their independence and quality of life.

The hours are 8:45am-3:15pm Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Effective Communication skills
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy
• Flexible and adaptable to participant's needs
• Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a High School Diploma
• Have a valid California driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certified required (can assist with this for the right person)
• Ability to tolerate an outdoor work environment inclusive of a variety of weather conditions. Ability to take walks, hikes, push, pull, stand for periods of time, and lift 25 pounds. Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Watkins VITAL Care Program and/or Service requirements.

$20.00-$22.00/hour. Hourly rate based on experience.
