Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare candidates for success through interview coaching, firm intelligence sharing, and honest market feedback
  • Advocate for candidates during compensation negotiations to secure competitive packages that reflect their market value
  • Serve as a trusted market advisor to clients, providing intelligence on hiring trends, talent availability, and compensation benchmarks
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with firm leadership to understand culture, growth plans, and succession needs
  • Research and analyze legal market dynamics, practice area trends, and regional hiring patterns to inform search strategies

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven success in legal recruiting, business development, or client-facing roles within the legal industry
  • Deep understanding of law firm economics, partnership structures, practice area dynamics, and attorney career progression
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence with the ability to read people, build authentic relationships, and navigate complex interpersonal dynamics
  • Natural networking abilities and comfort building relationships with senior-level professionals, including partners and general counsel
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade, and advocate effectively in high-stakes conversations
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets and achieving measurable results in competitive environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development instincts and the drive to create opportunities versus wait for them
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in changing market conditions, economic shifts, and evolving client expectations
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to navigate challenging placements and complex candidate situations
  • Self-motivated with the discipline to manage an independent workflow while maintaining accountability to team goals
  • Experience managing confidential information and maintaining discretion in sensitive situations
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, social media, and market research tools
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data, compensation trends, and competitive intelligence
  • Bachelor's degree required; JD, advanced degree, or relevant professional certifications preferred
  • Track record of building long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and referrals
