Job Title: Landscape ArchitectJob Description
The Landscape Architect/Planner is responsible for municipal landscape architecture and planning projects. This includes plan reviews, site inspections, and the preparation of parks and recreation plans and reports. Additional tasks involve developing greenways, trails, and open space plans and reports, streetscape plans, corridor plans, and other studies.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare plan reviews, including site visits to confirm existing conditions.
+ Perform inspections of tree protection and assess tree disturbance/tree preservation conditions.
+ Conduct inspections of landscape elements in subdivision/land development projects for release of escrow funds, start of maintenance, and end of maintenance. Prepare punch lists and correspondence outlining findings.
+ Prepare parks and recreation plans and reports, including Parks Master Site Development Plans, conceptual plans, and construction documents for parks and open space projects.
+ Develop Comprehensive Parks, Recreation, Open Space, Greenways, and Trails Plans.
+ Prepare corridor studies, streetscape plans, and conservation plans and reports.
+ Create PowerPoint presentations.
+ Produce renderings and graphics for projects.
+ Assemble site analysis documents, concept diagrams, and reports for projects.
+ Prepare grant applications and provide grant administration services for projects with various local, county, state, and federal grant programs.
+ Attend municipal meetings, including staff-level meetings and evening meetings with Boards and Commissions.
+ Develop solutions to technical problems.
+ Prioritize and manage multiple clients/projects.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or related area.
+ Registered Professional Landscape Architect in Pennsylvania or a desire to become one.
+ 4+ years of Landscape Architecture experience.
+ Proficiency in design programs such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with municipal projects, plan reviews, and site inspections.
+ Familiarity with parks and recreation, greenways, trails, and open space planning.
+ Ability to create comprehensive reports and plans, including streetscape and corridor plans.
+ Strong skills in preparing presentations, renderings, and graphics.
Work Environment
The role is based in the Philadelphia office. The company is recognized as one of the top civil engineering firms in the Philadelphia market, with multiple offices throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area. The team works closely with a wide range of local municipalities, handling land development, water resources, transportation, construction inspection services, land surveying services, and construction management. The company supports professional development through training and mentoring programs. During the initial 12-month period, employees receive vacation and holiday pay, including up to 2 weeks of vacation and 6 major holidays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $40.86/hr.
