Pride Health is hiring an L&D RN to support our client’s medical facility in Brooklyn, NY . This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: L&D RN

Shift: 3x12 Nights/Days - Both Shifts available

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible ext.

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per week

Location: Brooklyn, NY

As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Maternal and Child Health, your primary responsibilities include:

• Patient Assessment and Care: Evaluate the physical, emotional, social, and environmental needs of women and their families, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform intravenous (IV) insertions, phlebotomy, and administer conscious sedation under physician supervision.
• Patient Education: Provide education, support, and resources to help women and families achieve their health goals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate services for women and families.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of two years in maternal and child health nursing, with proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
• Licensure and Certifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Skills:

• Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy.
• Ability to administer conscious sedation safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
