Job Description

Do you take pride in balancing creativity with technical precision, while building strong relationships with clients and project teams? This role is ideal for a confident interior designer who can manage multiple projects, make thoughtful design decisions, and deliver high-quality results in a collaborative environment. As an Interior Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping residential spaces that are both beautiful and functional. You’ll guide projects through all phases of design, partner closely with clients, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure each project is executed with care, accuracy, and intention. This position also offers the opportunity to support and guide less-experienced designers while contributing to overall design standards and best practices. Compensation & Benefits • Salary range: $70,000–$85,000 (based on experience) • 401(k) with 4% employer match • Health insurance with a 40% employer contribution • Paid time off • Performance-based bonus opportunities Responsibilities: • Own residential design projects from initial planning through final delivery • Create space plans, design concepts, finish selections, and construction-ready documentation • Present ideas clearly and confidently to clients, incorporating feedback into refined solutions • Visit job sites for measurements, progress reviews, and coordination with contractors and vendors • Develop and review selections, pricing, specifications, and proposals • Coordinate ordering timelines and track materials to align with project schedules • Produce clear, organized drawings, including plans, elevations, schedules, and details • Partner with project managers, sales, and drafting teams to ensure smooth execution • Provide support, guidance, and design feedback to junior team members • Participate in internal reviews, team meetings, and process-improvement initiatives What Success Looks Like • Design documents are accurate, complete, and ready for execution • Projects stay on track despite competing deadlines and changing priorities • Clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the process • Communication is professional, timely, and solution-oriented • Team collaboration is positive and proactive • Materials, selections, and approvals are managed with care and accountability Qualifications: • 7+ years of experience in residential interior design • Proven ability to manage projects through construction and installation • Strong skills in space planning, FF&E, and residential documentation • Proficiency with Chief Architect (or strong willingness to work within it) • Solid understanding of construction methods and technical coordination • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail • Comfortable mentoring or supporting junior designers • Ability to work on-site and attend project-related field visits About Company: We are a home remodeling company dedicated to improving and updating residential spaces.
