Work You'll Do:

  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
  • Understanding customers needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answering potential customers questions and sending additional information per email.
  • Keeping up with product knowledge and service information and updates.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
  • Staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Researching and qualifying new leads.
  • Provide price and availability on any standard part or item directly to customers.
  • Take and solicit orders from customers over the phone.
  • Forward Verify customer purchase orders accuracy to the headquarters for acceptance and processing.
  • Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers.
  • Follow up on orders to assure critical deliveries.
  • Make and maintain manual order files and general customer files.
  • Resolve any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customer and inform salesperson the team for correction.
  • Handle all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner.
  • Work in concert with Sales manager; funnel leads/opportunities to the team.
  • Interface with vendors for quotes.
  • Share in answering phones.
  • Maintain and organize sales email communications
  • Updating and maintaining quotation database
  • Update customer purchase order status reports via portal or email.
  • Assist new customers in verifying the accuracy of their account setup documents.
  • Have capacity and willingness to be cross-trained in other departments.
  • Cross training in other office departments including but not limited to order entry, purchasing, filing, expediting.

What We're Looking For:

  • Inside Sales or Customer service experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or experience equivalent.
  • Strong customer service focus with a passion to exceed customer requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication and time management skills.
  • Strong skills with time management and responding to customers in a timely manner.
  • Ability to address concerns and communicate clearly and efficiently.
  • Ability to convey a positive, customer-friendly disposition.
  • High energy, drive and sense of responsibility.
  • Punctuality: this is an 8AM - 5PM position, Monday-Friday (1 hour lunch break)
  • Microsoft Office competency, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to research using various tools, databases, websites and spreadsheets that are
  • available for pricing and product information.
  • Sage Accounting software experience desirable.
  • Business casual dress code, good hygiene required.
