Employment Solutions is partnering with a company to hire an Injection Mold Designer to work onsite in Wake Forest, NC. This is a direct hire position with a full benefits package and great culture!
Salary: $100k-$105K
Responsibilities:
- Determine project specifications, set up and operate mold making equipment, finish and adjust various components, and test molds to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with molds, machines and processes using CMM inspection equipment
- Design of medical manufacturing fixtures, analyze and inspect molds / components and products for quality. Design, update, and repair of 3D files for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) process
- Create CNC programs and code for machining operations, ensuring accuracy in the finished product
- Work in both an office and climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Ensure product requirements and quality standards are satisfied
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proficient in 3D CAD modeling/design (preferably SolidWorks)
- Plastic injection design and development experience in the medical device and/or component industry. Experience selecting the metals and materials to be used based on properties
- Knowledge of mold making, mold designs and mold production processes, including CNC programming and machining
- Experience in designing jigs & fixtures
