Shifts and Compensation

We have immediate openings on the following shifts:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - approximately 2:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 11:00 PM - approximately 8:00 AM

Compensation: $20 - $40 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime and Saturday work may be required as needed.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be essential to keeping our operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting and Diagnosing: Visually inspect machinery and equipment for any defects like breakage or excessive wear. You'll listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions, then troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, implementing effective remedies.
• Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs on production and processing equipment, specializing in modern automated systems. This includes dismantling defective machines, installing new or repaired parts, and meticulously cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other components.
• System Management: Maintain the optimal operation of critical systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and ammonia.
• Electrical Work: Install and repair various electrical apparatus such as transformers, breakers, switches, receptacles, wiring, and electronic components within machinery and equipment.
• Structural Integrity: Repair, replace, and maintain the physical structure of equipment.
• Fabrication & Welding: Utilize cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts as needed.
• Preventative Care: Execute preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity and minimize downtime.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians and engineering staff to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Technical Interpretation: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to guide your repair and maintenance activities.
• Material Handling: Work regularly with material handling equipment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, with a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing automated industrial equipment.
• Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and ammonia systems. Proficient in electrical repair and installation.
• Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative to solve problems.
• Problem-Solver: Excellent analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Safety-Focused: Strict adherence to all safety guidelines and regulations during maintenance and repair tasks.
• Physical Requirements:
• Capability to bend, twist, and squat throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without reasonable assistance.
• Must be able to frequently push, pull, kneel, bend, and reach with both arms.
• Comfortable working in a cold storage environment where production rooms are kept at a constant 32 degrees Fahrenheit (and below in certain areas). Ability to withstand these temperatures for extended periods.
• Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced work environment, accustomed to being in and around industrial machinery.
