New Mandates, May 2025: Impact Investment Associates, Bay Area, CA

We are looking for outstanding people with excellent technical skills, who want to leverage their commercial investment experience and be part of something truly positive and impactful.

You will be a key part of a growing firm with a single source of committed, institutional scale capital, dedicated to improving the lives of everyone, and particularly those in most need.

You will invest across geographies, asset classes, structures and stages, looking to catalyse systemic positive change.

We are looking for tactical deal-doing expertize with a keen interest in the bigger themes: you'll work in a highly collaborative atmosphere where you are supported and encouraged to take ownership throughout the transaction lifecycle; and also to contribute to strategic discussions, and to help shape the cadence, culture and success of the business.

Do you have:

• Existing practical experience of investment analysis in private equity, venture capital, impact investing, or related fields
• Perhaps further study, Masters or MBA, in a related /relevant field (not essential though interesting)
• A passionate alignment of personal values with the positive purpose and mission of the firm
• A desire to be part of an elite, compact team in a flat structure with big backing and purposeful ambitions
• Honesty and Integrity
• A highly organized and strong work ethic, with attention to detail, a flexible and creative problem solving attitude, and an interest in learning and developing.

We are very open to a range of relevant backgrounds, including:

• People with commercial investing experience to date: eg a classic investment banking sellside foundation with follow-on buyside experience in private equity/debt or venture capital.
• People with experience at other foundations, endowments, DFIs, or family offices with directly analogous experience.
• A person with aligned values, who may have worked internships or an earlier stage in their career at a foundation/non-profit, or volunteering, has some years professional experience and is now keen to pursue a more meaningful mission aligned career.

Remuneration package commensurate with experience and determined by a number of factors, with a generous benefits package. Relocation support might be available for the right person. Please note that Visa sponsorship is not available for this position and you will need the right to work in the USA.

The budgeted starting salary range for this position, based in California, is USD$150,000-$200,000 gross annually, plus a discretionary bonus; long-term incentive plan, and further benefits that I will be delighted to discuss.
