Full-Time | Days or Nights (Rotating Weekends) | Salary: $26.40 to $39.60/hr

Sign-On Bonus: $10K Days / $15K Nights | Relocation: Case by Case | Fee: 20% of annual salary

Overview

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is a 267-bed acute care facility offering advanced specialty services including an Advanced Primary Stroke Center , Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery, and critical care for complex medical and surgical patients. The hospital emphasizes a collaborative, high-quality, patient-centered approach.

We are seeking an experienced ICU RN to provide care for critically ill patients requiring close monitoring, frequent assessments, and specialized interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as patient and family advocate; maintain confidentiality

• Provide instruction on medications, treatment plans, and care needs

• Deliver high-focus, critical care with attention to continuous improvement

• Make autonomous clinical assessments and manage patient care

• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain documentation

• Shadow shift required prior to hire (day or night depending on shift preference)

Qualifications

Required:

• 1 year recent acute care experience in ICU, CVICU, or ER ( PCU/IMCU considered with 2 years experience )

• Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license (60 days to obtain Florida license if relocating)

• BLS within 30 days of employment start

• ACLS within 6 months of hire

• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)

Preferred:

• CCRN certification

• Critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills

• Prior ICU, ED, or surgical floor experience

Unit Details

• Beds: 10 private rooms

• Patient Ratio: 1:23

• Census: 810 patients per day

• Typical Daily Discharges/Transfers: 1 discharge, 23 transfers

• Patient Population: Med/Surg ICU, ventilated patients, vasoactive meds, low-acuity trauma, cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic cases

• Telemetry: Continuous monitoring

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $26.40 to $36.30 (10 YOE) / $39.60 (18+ YOE)

• Shift Differentials: $4.25/night, $1.50 specialty diff

• Sign-On Bonus: $10K Days / $15K Nights
