Job Description

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is looking for a full-time HR & Payroll Assistant. Under the direction of the HR Manager, the HR & Payroll Assistant is responsible for processing the bi-weekly payroll and employee time system related responsibilities, as well as performing other HR functions and projects as directed.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Support internal and external inquiries related to the HR department.
• Organize and track new hire orientation logistics.
• Assist with the bi-weekly payroll ensuring all hours and adjustments are entered, proactively running reports to capture any potential errors.
• Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from our employees in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Review quarterly federal, state, and local tax reports prepared by the payroll vendor.
• Review Department of Labor reports on a quarterly and annual basis prepared by the third- party payroll vendor.
• Respond to all audits and other payroll-related inquiries.

Full-time | 40 hours p/w

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or HR.
• Payroll experience a plus.
• Experience with Paylocity a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
• Communicate effectively at all levels in a diverse fast paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
• Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
