Position Summary

The GME Operations Administrator coordinates and supports graduate medical education office functions and is responsible for a variety of daily, monthly, and annual activities within the department. This job plans, implements, and coordinates processes for a variety of diverse functions which include procurement, reimbursements, physician payments, and management of student processes. This job maintains data, prepares reports, and provides budgetary information related to areas of responsibility. This job's responsibilities also include assisting in the administration of GME programs and will interact with personnel both inside and outside the institution.

4. Standard Work - GME Operations Administration: Process reimbursements requests efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records. Process vendor invoices, vendor packets, purchase orders, and other documentation for the office; create letters, memos, statistical and budget reports; create and enter data into spreadsheets and databases. Manage reconciliations for residency programs accounts including tracking, reconciling expenses and providing monthly reports. Provide general administrative support to the DIO and GME Director.

Physician Compensation Plan: Is accountable for all facets of the physician compensations plan. This includes but is not limited to the following: Process physician timesheets and check them for accuracy; receive and respond to physician payment inquiries in a professional manner; creating detailed reports and dashboards. Conduct regular data cleanup tasks to maintain accuracy and reliability.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and solve complex issues across various health system departments

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree

Essential:

  • Business, Accounting, Education, Health Care Administration, or related field

Other information:

Experience Essential:

- Three to four years of progressively more responsible related administrative, business leadership, or project management experience.

Experience Preferred:

- Minimum two years experience in business or higher education work environment strongly preferred.
