Mc Kinnon Home Furnishings in Palatka, FL is looking for one furniture sales and visual merchandiser to join our 6-person strong team. We are located on 237 N Hwy 17 Palatka, Fl 32177. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

Furniture Sales:

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Understand customer needs and recommend furniture options that fit their preferences and budgets.
• Build relationships with customers to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat business.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the store’s overall performance.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, product features, and inventory availability.
• Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.

Visual Merchandising:

• Design and implement eye-catching and creative in-store displays to highlight featured products and seasonal themes.
• Maintain visual standards across the showroom, ensuring furniture is presented attractively and aligns with brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with management and sales teams to adjust displays based on customer feedback and sales performance.
• Monitor and replenish displays, keeping them clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Stay updated on design trends and customer preferences to create engaging merchandising strategies.
• Assist with showroom layout adjustments to maximize space and improve customer flow.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in furniture or home décor.
• A strong eye for design, creativity, and attention to detail in visual merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
• Physical ability to lift and move furniture as needed.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with interior design or visual merchandising.
• Knowledge of furniture trends and styles.
• Familiarity with visual merchandising software or tools.
