Position Summary

A Fulfillment Specialist is a detail-orientated team member who is responsible for ensuring that orders placed from our online store are picked, packed, and shipped to their destination. Fulfillment Associates provide support with inbound and outbound product replenishment, inventory accuracy, and presentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Comfortability working in a smaller scale team with a boutique-style environment
  • Maintain required availability during company blackout periods, including the holiday season (October-January) and semi-annual sales (second- fourth weeks of June)
  • Remain adaptable to new workflows and business changes based on seasonal demands or company priorities
  • Support custom order preparation including color matching, special requests, and boutique-level service expectations
  • Represent the brand through a culture of integrity, care, teamwork, and excellence in service
  • Provide guidance to seasonal or junior team members when applicable, reinforcing best practices and protocols
  • Accurately pick, prepare, pack, sort, and ship customer orders within SLA (Service Level Agreement)
  • Perform and maintain daily/weekly product and supplies inventory count as needed
  • Wash hair extensions and product supplies needed to fulfill customer orders
  • Responsible for receiving incoming inventory and stocking them on the appropriate shelves
  • Process inventory returns and restocks
  • Collaborate with the customer experience department to ensure that customer shipment issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Monitor and communicate with Management when supplies have reached restock levels
  • Model excellent service by preparing all customer orders within the required protocols set by Management
  • Perform end of day cleaning procedures and always maintain a clean work area
  • Meet department monthly KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and adhere to department policies, guidelines, and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Follow all safety guidelines, operating procedures, product freshness, and qualities of standards
  • Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • All other duties assigned based on business needs

Compensation

Hourly, Non-Exempt, $16-$18 per hour

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • 1+ years of prior experience in online order fulfillment and warehousing required
  • Basic math skills (subtraction, addition, multiplication, division) required
  • Experience with Shopify and ShipStation highly preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
  • Retail experience is highly preferred
  • Beauty industry experience is highly preferred
  • Experience with eCommerce Backoffice systems
  • Detailed oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication with team members and management
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to support seasonal or junior team members by reinforcing proper procedures and setting a strong example
  • Comfort using internal systems to track inventory, submit order notes, or log exceptions
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, escalate, or improve processes in previous roles
