An international industrial machine manufacturer and servicer is currently searching a motivated Field Service Engineer for their office in the Alexandria, VA area. The ideal candidate has prior experience with field service and familiarity with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery/equipment. Travel will range 50–70%, nationwide / overnight. *This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Travel to the customer sites and perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on equipment and machinery (food / beverage packaging machinery)
• Provide in-person and remote (via phone and email) troubleshooting and technical support as needed
• Creation of maintenance activity reports / records for upper management
• Other duties as assigned

Field Service Engineer Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to travel 50-70% (nationwide / overnight)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance documents
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and time management ability
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
