Job Description

Position Type: Full Time, Hourly & Commission with Benefits

Experience Required: 1-2 years in the hospitality or events industry; sales experience is a plus.

Job Summary:

The Event Coordinator will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and promoting events at The County Line Albuquerque. This position requires excellent multitasking abilities, strong teamwork skills, and a passion for creating memorable experiences. The ideal candidate will support the marketing initiatives, handle client communications, and ensure smooth event operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and supporting marketing activities, such as bridal shows, charity partnerships, and open houses, in collaboration with the Corporate Director of Marketing and the Director of Special Events.
  • Promote and reserve private dining and semi-private spaces at The County Line Albuquerque.
  • Book catering and delivery opportunities, negotiating agreements with clients as needed.
  • Respond promptly to private party and catering leads via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
  • Gather and update event details from private party hosts, ensuring clear communication with front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Maintain organized electronic files of contracts, proposals, invoices, deposits, and guest communications using Honey Book.
  • Stay informed about community events that may impact restaurant business, such as Balloon Fiesta and local festivals.
  • Attend networking opportunities and represent the restaurant at community events.
  • Welcome and meet hosts and guests on the day of their event, ensuring their experience is exceptional.
  • Send handwritten notes of appreciation to all parties following their events.
  • Conduct tours of the restaurant for potential private party clients and host luncheons to educate planners and organizers.
  • Participate in monthly conference calls with the Director of Special Events and attend monthly manager finance meetings.
  • Attend at least one educational conference per year to enhance industry knowledge.
  • Understand and comprehend the restaurant's budget, sales numbers, and goals.
  • Maintain an updated marketing and activity task calendar.
  • Manage the electronic events calendar for all private parties, reservations, and catering events.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in hospitality or event coordination.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word; familiarity with Honey Book is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of local events and community engagement is beneficial.
