Job Description

The Operations Specialist – Security Master File is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely descriptive security information for all assets held by the firm . This role involves creating and maintaining security master setups across multiple systems, including GoldenSource, Custody SMF, and Eagle/STAR. The specialist will utilize various data vendors , financial publications, and other resources to ensure the integrity and accuracy of security master data for internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Master Data Management:
• Perform timely and accurate security master setups for internal and external clients.
• Verify and amend established security master files on GoldenSource, Custody SMF, and Eagle/STAR systems.
• Continuously update and maintain SMF databases to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure all database information matches vendor data (e.g., Bloomberg, IDC).
• Daily Operations and Workflow Management:
• Manage daily volume and verify valid market identifiers for setup.
• Process and resolve requests in pending queues that are not automatically routed.
• Conduct quality control reviews and resolve conflicting information across data vendors.
• Research and escalate problem items to ensure efficient issue resolution.
• Collaboration and Client Support:
• Act as a liaison for internal clients regarding security information inquiries and issues.
• Communicate professionally through verbal and written channels with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in PC skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, escalate, and resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated individual capable of working independently and in a team setting.
