• Ensure all engineering processes and documentation are regularly reviewed and updated.
• Guide team members to meet both financial and operational objectives.
• Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across all departments.
• Lead the selection, development, and evaluation of engineering staff.
• Handle performance reviews, recognition, and resolution of workplace issues.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive work environment for all employees.
• Offer guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
• Define and drive the strategic direction of the engineering team to support sustainable growth, profitability, and resource optimization.
• Lead a high-performing engineering team by setting goals, managing performance, and implementing key production metrics to ensure success.
• Stay informed of industry trends and technologies to develop innovative strategies.
• Lead efforts to streamline the full engineering lifecycle from contract to project completion, enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Train and mentor engineering staff, focusing on CAD/design skill development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Conduct regular team meetings and individual check-ins.
• Strengthen recruiting and onboarding processes for CAD technicians, designers, and detailers, prioritizing succession needs within the team.
• Provide direct support to sales and operations teams as needed.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Ambassador Supply leadership to define and align sales and financial targets.
• Create and execute an engineering optimization plan with clear monthly goals and performance updates.
• Build strong relationships by knowing each team member personally and showing genuine care and trust.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, PE license preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in engineering leadership.
• Experience in pre-engineered buildings desired.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to use ERP systems.
• Previous experience managing an engineering team.
• Experience with operations management.
