Job Description

We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our digital marketing agency serving a wide range of clients in the B2B, B2C, and e-commerce spaces. Our team needs someone who’s not just great at execution but also eager to grow our email marketing services with fresh ideas, innovative strategies, and new offerings. In this role, you’ll develop and optimize email campaigns that engage, convert, and retain customers while also identifying opportunities to expand our agency’s email marketing capabilities. You’ll work closely with our creative and strategy teams to craft compelling content, refine automation flows, and maximize ROI. If you’re passionate about email marketing, love testing and analyzing performance, and want to take ownership of growing this department, we’d love to hear from you!

This role is fully remote, but if you enjoy the energy of an office, you’re in luck—many of our team members work from our riverfront office in Oshkosh, WI, regularly. You’re welcome to join them as often as you’d like! We require everyone to come in once a month for an in-office team day, so applicants must live within 200 miles of Oshkosh, WI, and be able to travel in as needed. It’s the perfect mix of flexibility and in-person collaboration!

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop & Execute Strategy: Create and implement innovative email marketing strategies that drive engagement, conversions, and retention. Leverage market research, audience insights, and competitor analysis to identify new growth opportunities.

  • Optimize & Automate Campaigns: Plan, build, and refine email campaigns, including promotions, automated workflows, and nurture sequences. Ensure the right message reaches the right audience through smart segmentation and personalization. Continuously improve performance with automation and testing.

  • Analyze & Improve Performance: Track key metrics (open rates, CTRs, conversions) using ESP and analytics tools. A/B test subject lines and content, optimize based on data, and provide actionable insights through regular reporting.

  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Experiment with emerging email marketing tactics, automation strategies, and deliverability best practices to keep campaigns fresh and effective.

  • Innovate & Expand Services: Bring fresh ideas to enhance our agency’s email marketing capabilities, exploring new ESPs, tools, and strategies to drive better results.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Support broader content initiatives, including blog posts, social media, and marketing materials, ensuring a cohesive brand voice across all channels.

What We’re Looking For:

We're looking for someone who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a high-quality standard in their work.

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing, campaign management, or a related field (agency experience is a plus).
  • Proven track record of creating, optimizing, and executing email campaigns with measurable results.
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Omnisend, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of email automation, segmentation, and personalization strategies.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and the ability to analyze and interpret email campaign data to improve performance.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, email analytics tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Strong ability to write compelling subject lines, engaging content, and optimize designs for conversions.
  • Ability to think strategically about campaign goals, audience segmentation, and content personalization.
  • Experience crafting campaigns that balance creativity with data-driven decision-making.
  • Commitment to high quality and consistency standards, ensuring that campaigns are error-free (e.g., no broken links, proper formatting).
  • Keen attention to deliverability issues and how to address them, maintaining clean lists and reducing bounce rates.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to clearly present ideas, insights, and reports to clients and team members.
  • Strong collaborator who thrives in a team environment and actively contributes to brainstorming and creative sessions.
  • Experience with a variety of B2B, eCommerce, B2C email marketing and lead generation campaigns.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email design (optional but a plus).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and integrating them with email platforms.

You must live within 200 miles of Oshkosh, WI, and be able to travel to the Oshkosh office at least once each month.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary ($55,000–$75,000, depending on experience), plus a generous profit-sharing program with monthly rewards, quarterly bonuses, and an end-of-year bonus when agency goals are met. Our benefits package includes:

  • PTO & paid holidays
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Professional development opportunities
  • The flexibility of remote work with monthly in-office collaboration days
