DAILY DUTIES, included but are not limited to:
- Preparation of project construction schedules, in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera, and communicate effectively with the Project Team.
- Responsible for qualifying sub-contractor estimates and bids, performing project buyouts, and managing subcontractors' progress against plan.
- Coordinating meetings, scheduling updates, submitting deliverables and addressing outstanding 'open items' as requested by clients.
- Preparation of look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progress reports and billing information.
- Reviewing and monitoring job costs versus budgets.
- Work with closely with cost estimator of project/s for thorough project handoff.
- Foundation in PlanSwift (or similar) and AccuBid for take offs; solid understanding of current union production rates for change order issuance/ management is strongly preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have public sector experience
- 3-5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry and/or possessing project management experience within commercial and industrial electrical construction projects is required.
- Project size experience should be min $1M and up to $10MM
- Firm understanding of other MEP trades and GC responsibilities in the project, a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required throughout IL and surrounding areas.
- Experience working with local and out of state subcontractors, a plus.
- Ability to work with various partners, including some high profile, from start to finish.
- Must be self-driven and have the ability to stay on-task for extended periods of time.
- Computer literate and proficient with software such as Microsoft Office applications (ie., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc), Dropbox, FTP sites, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
- Able to wear various hats in the process and stay focused with a full project plate.
Compensation:
- Broadway Electric provides a highly competitive salary ($80,000-$110,000) commensurate with experience. In addition, a generous benefit package is offered as well; which includes health insurance, dental, 401K, monthly cell phone allowance.
