Director, Media Analytics & Customer Success

Full Time Direct Hire Position

Hybrid onsite in Midtown, Manhattan

Our client is seeking a Director of Media Analytics to join its growing team. The Director will support all stages of client campaigns—from data-driven planning and media measurement to in-market testing. This client-facing role involves close collaboration with internal teams across client services, data science, BI, and data operations to craft customized analytical solutions.

The ideal candidate is passionate about solving marketing challenges, uncovering performance insights, and providing strategic guidance. The role reports to the VP of Media Analytics and manages two analysts across a portfolio of clients spanning multiple industries. Media investments include search, social, digital video, programmatic display, linear TV, and OTT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Analytics Leadership: Define and oversee campaign measurement strategies, testing plans, and data frameworks.
  • Client Engagement: Act as a senior analytics lead, presenting insights and strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders (including VP and C-suite).
  • Performance Analytics: Uncover connections between media performance and key variables such as conversion timing, platform, geography, creative, and competitive share.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Lead data visualization and reporting using tools such as Tableau, Datorama, and Excel; manipulate data using SQL.
  • Data Strategy: Extract insights from 1st/3rd party data, site traffic, ad logs, syndicated research, and other sources to refine campaign direction.

Team Management:

  • Oversee and mentor a team of 2 analysts
  • Set team goals, evaluate structure, and lead performance reviews

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in marketing analytics, with hands-on experience in digital, TV, and/or online video
  • Proven ability to lead strategic measurement and testing initiatives
  • Agency experience strongly preferred; in-house or consulting backgrounds considered
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to translate analytics into clear recommendations
  • Resourceful and proactive problem-solver with strong storytelling skills
  • Background in analytics or statistics preferred; graduate degree is a plus

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in regression, lift and significance testing, A/B and incrementality testing
  • Experience applying MMM and MTA methodologies
  • Proficient in Tableau (or similar BI tools) and SQL
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms preferred

Additional Information:

  • Hybrid schedule with some in-office time in the NYC area
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) to client sites in the US, Canada, and Europe
