Job Description

A high profile events company in Western Los Angeles County is looking to add a talent leader to their team as the Director of Catering. This role is responsible for managing a diverse team, ensuring flawless event execution, driving business growth, and maintaining top-tier service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop kitchen, service, and event staff to ensure high performance and alignment with company values.
  • Oversee operations including production, logistics, staffing, and event execution.
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure exceptional service at every touchpoint.
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Drive business development through proposals, marketing, and industry networking.
  • Supervise event coordination to ensure quality, timeliness, and flawless delivery.
  • Implement policies and processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Oversee inventory and vendor relationships to ensure high-quality supply chain management.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a senior operations role in catering, hospitality, or food service
  • Offsite catering/event experience required
  • Experience with either sales, event execution, or both
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Strong operational, organizational, and financial management experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and delivering memorable guest experiences
  • Ability to work onsite near Calabasas

Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 base (commensurate with experience), 20-25% bonus program, comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and much more!
