About the position:

The Director of Digital Fundraising will lead the strategy, execution, and growth of AKF’s digital fundraising efforts, with a focus on expanding donor engagement and revenue across all digital channels, including email, SMS, web, SEM programmatic advertising, and paid/organic social media. Working collaboratively with the Senior Director of Individual Giving and the Chief Development Officer, the Director of Digital Fundraising will develop and implement strategies to support revenue generation and fundraising optimization across the organization.

Fundraising Responsibilities:

  • Digital Fundraising - Develop and implement integrated multi-channel digital fundraising strategies including, email, paid media, social media, SEO, website optimization, etc. Incorporate cross-fundraising opportunities to increase giving and strategically assess and recommend appropriate digital testing across all channels.
  • Car Donation Program - Oversee the day-to-day management of the car donation program, including working with the Senior Director of Individual Giving and the Senior Director of Digital Marketing to promote the program.
  • Peer to Peer Fundraising - Identify ways to enhance revenue for KidneyNation and our Facebook fundraising efforts through social channels, digital stewardship touchpoints and on peer-to-peer platforms.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Technology - Ensure accurate data entry, source coding, segmentation, data sync, ask strings, and campaign data integration.
  • Collaborate - With the marketing and communications team to align digital fundraising initiatives with brand voice, message, and marketing campaigns where appropriate, ensuring a seamless donor experience.
  • Leadership - Lead regular digital fundraising meetings, implement and manage reporting system(s) that delivers a series of strategic metrics, demonstrates our donors' behavior and predicts our program's trajectory to appropriate stakeholders and manage an annual strategic plan and budget

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of digital fundraising experience, preferably at a non-profit organization, with a proven track record of managing a digital fundraising program that yields results
  • Experience with SEO (search engine optimization) and paid searches
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multi-channel digital marketing platforms (email, SMS, digital newsletters, websites, social media, etc.), with demonstrated understanding of best practices and key performance indicators
  • Experience with bringing donors to websites and calls to action for individuals to donate
  • Experience executing a flight plan including email, website, social media, sliders (ads that slide across page) and text messaging

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to enhance relationships with existing and new donors, influence internal partners and manage multiple projects, timelines and budgets
  • Comfort building relationships with different departments and bridging different goals/strategies within the organization
  • Must be able to anticipate, plan, prioritize and react to changing needs and situations with professionalism, integrity, and diplomacy
  • Detail-oriented, creative, collaborative and innovative with strong communication, organizational, analytical, writing, editing and computer skills including MS Office proficiency, CRM experience, database knowledge and experience with Raiser’s Edge, Engaging Networks or similar products
  • Experience providing CRM analysis and research a plus.
