Job Description

Corestaff Services is seeking a Library Training/Service Desk Specialist for a 1 year contract position to support in Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) and Preservation Systems.

The selected candidate will provide coordination, technical and functional support for the current DAMS/Preservation roadmaps. The contractor will be responsible for onboarding new asset types, ingesting and tracking the movement of digital assets into the system, maintaining technical and functional system documentation, reporting and troubleshooting technical and functional issues with staff and support vendors, and training and supporting staff.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Help Desk Support

• Receives and logs new issues in the provided ticketing system
• Triages tickets, troubleshoot functional tickets and assigns technical tickets to the appropriate point of contact
• Ensures the timely completion of technical and functional system tickets
• Communicates technical issues, maintenance work, new features, and upgrades to users and relevant stakeholders

Staff Training

• Develop training materials, including user guides, manuals, tutorials, and other instructional resources to support the functional use of the systems.
• Maintain and update the help site, ensuring that it contains relevant and up-to-date information on system features and frequently asked questions.
• Conducts introductory training sessions, and works with technical specialists to coordinate and execute specialized training sessions.

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience providing system support.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Experience developing training materials, user guides, and related functional documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to relay technical issues, maintenance work, and upgrades to technical specialists, users, and stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct introductory and organize specialized training sessions in a virtual environment.
• Able to work well in a team, and collaborate with museum staff, technical specialists, and stakeholders.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and able to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using OpenText Media Management or similar DAMS software.
• Experience using Libsafe or similar preservation software

Pay Rate: $35.00hr

This is a remote position REMOTE with occasional in-person meetings onsite.

A writing sample will be required for consideration.
