Job Title: Fixture Designer

Location: Greenville, SC

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Assignment Duration: 12–18 months

Work Environment: On-site only

Must be a US Citizen

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Fixture Designer to support manufacturing operations through the design of custom work holding solutions, jigs, tooling, and in-process models. This role is critical to enabling precision machining, assembly, and inspection processes across complex projects in a high-performance engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design machine tool work holding solutions for various machining applications
• Create in-process models for use by programmers, manufacturing engineers, and other stakeholders
• Design jigs, gauges, assembly tooling, production aids, and 3D printed polymer components
• Provide technical support during fixture builds and integration
• Interpret and apply engineering drawing requirements with strong GD&T understanding (ASME Y14.5M-2009)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and function of all designs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required (preferred: associate’s or bachelor’s in engineering or related technical field)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fixture and tooling design
• Proficiency in NX CAD and familiarity with PLM systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic clamping systems; pneumatic systems experience is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards
