Job Description

Seeking a professional and team-oriented Dental Scheduling Coordinator to join our family-oriented general dentistry practice located in Woodbridge Township, NJ. Responsibilities include warmly greeting patients, optimizing schedules for dentists and hygienists, ensuring schedule productivity and efficiency, obtaining insurance verifications and breakdowns, processing payments, and managing incoming calls. The Scheduling Coordinator will collaborate closely with a Treatment Coordinator, with opportunities for additional training in roles within the practice. Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcome and greet patients upon their arrival at the reception desk
  • Efficiently schedule and confirm appointments for both dentists and hygienists
  • Maximize the productivity of dentist and hygienist schedules
  • Conduct post-operative calls to follow up with patients
  • Manage incoming phone calls
  • Coordinate with specialists when required for patient care
  • Update and maintain accurate patient insurance and personal information in the system
  • Verify insurance details and provide breakdowns
  • Securely organize and manage patient records, files, and accounts
Qualifications:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Hold US Work Authorization
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills through an assessment
  • Have prior experience working in a dental office or related field
  • Possess strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Preferably have experience with Dentrix/Dexis
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
