The Council on East Asian Studies at Yale University invites applications for the Postdoctoral Associate in Modern Chinese History for an appointment period from July 1 st 2025 - June 30 th 2026.
We seek scholars specializing in modern Chinese history; at least half of the candidate?s dissertation must concern post-1911 China. The successful candidate will be expected to teach one or two courses depending on the needs of the department.
Housed in the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies, the Council on East Asian Studies provides an important interdisciplinary forum at Yale for academic exploration and support for the study of East Asia, bringing together scholars who specialize in, across, and beyond China, Japan, and Korea.
