Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in budgeting, cost management, and financial performance analysis, ensuring that our company's cost accounting procedures are aligned with the overall financial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis and cost reporting, identifying trends and areas for cost improvement.
• Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and analyze inventory valuations, variances, and work-in-progress (WIP) costs.
• Cost Control: Develop and maintain standard cost systems, ensuring accurate cost allocation and product pricing.
• Variance Analysis: Investigate and report on cost variances, providing actionable insights to management.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare cost reports and financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost accounting software and MS Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data in an understandable manner.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
