Job Description

Position Summary: The Corporate Banking Relationship Manager IV is responsible for driving revenue growth by maximizing share of wallet and expanding product penetration. This role involves promoting and cross-selling a range of banking products and services, aiming to service, maintain, and develop new business relationships. The objective is to increase bank revenues, enhance client satisfaction, and identify current and potential business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Develop and maintain a portfolio of high-quality, complex corporate relationships, ensuring long-term profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Commercial Lending Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing complex commercial loans, including asset-based loans (ABL), local participations (purchased and sold), insured receivables financing, EX-IM and foreign risk mitigation, owner-occupied real estate loans, and loans to companies generating over $30MM in revenue.
  • Cross-Selling & Share of Wallet: Drive cross-selling efforts to deepen relationships and increase the share of wallet with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met across various banking products.
  • Business Development: Actively participate in networking events and outside calling programs to promote the bank's commercial lending services and develop new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Business Units: Refer business opportunities to other areas of the bank to leverage synergies and enhance the client experience.
  • Credit Management: Review and resolve outstanding credit exceptions, authorize overdrafts, and manage uncollected funds, ensuring prudent judgment is exercised.
  • Loan Presentations: Prepare and present loan proposals to senior management and loan committees, ensuring alignment with client needs and bank objectives.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain ongoing contact with clients, ensuring quarterly meetings at their place of business to assess their evolving financial needs.
  • Credit File Maintenance: Ensure accurate and up-to-date credit files in collaboration with the credit services team, documenting key client interactions and business developments.
  • Community & CRA Participation: Support the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) lending efforts and participate as a board member in a non-profit organization.
  • Team Support: Assist junior officers in analyzing and evaluating credit relationships, offering guidance where needed.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with banking regulations, including BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and other AML-related rules. Identify and address any potential risks to the bank’s earnings or capital related to noncompliance or violations of regulations.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a commercial lending officer, managing complex and diversified lending relationships.
  • Expertise in asset-based lending and trade-related lending is required.
  • Proven success in business development and relationship management.
