Our Creative Department is looking for a talented, passionate Copywriter. You’ll be developing creative solutions, fusing art and commerce and crafting compelling copy for each assigned project. You’ll need to translate innovative concepts into omni-channel experiences be it digital, social, TV or any other channel that helps bring the story to life.

The Copywriter writes material for assigned client projects, helping to develop and guide creative ideas based on input from the client, account team, and own research and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works as part of a team and is responsible for writing the material for one or many channels, for client projects.
  • Will also serve as an editor and creative writing sounding board to others across the agency.
  • Move quickly and with ease from one client and project to the next, managing to deadlines for self and others.
  • Relies on natural creativity and proven writing ability to develop content that meets the individual needs of each client and project.
  • Beyond writing a headline, banner or other copy, the Copywriter clearly articulates his/her idea and concept briefly and fluently, doing so with appropriate client contact and internal teams alike.
  • Interacts with the client at the appropriate level, typically as a participant or presenter in a client meeting.
  • Skilled at conceptualizing and visualizing ideas to tell a story.
  • Keeps current with trends in the advertising industry, current events and popular culture alike, and applies that knowledge in their writing to be current and relevant for clients.

EDUCATION/WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • .Design School, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Relevant areas of study may include advertising, writing, marketing or related program.
  • Portfolio requirement outlined below:
  • Likely at least two (2) to four (4) years’ experience, preferably agency writing experience.
  • Portfolio that articulates the thought and creative use of language and ideas across multiple mediums and platforms (ex: social, digital, print, etc.).
  • Can be based in our Chicago or Milwaukee office.
