Job Description

Our client is a multi-unit automotive franchise operation with approximately 200 employees and $20M in annual revenue. They are looking for a Controller to elevate their finance function. This individual would be a hands-on, detail-oriented Controller that oversees all accounting operations and supports our continued growth. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership, manage accounting staff, and serve as a key contributor to strategic decision making.

• Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, compliance, and financial reporting
• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cashflow
• Develop, review, and strengthen accounting systems, internal controls and policies
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements to management
• Lead cost reduction and efficiency initiatives
• Support preparation of annual tax filings and external audits
• Execute ADP payroll, bonuses, and ensure compliance with payroll and tax reporting requirements
• Oversee expense reporting, capitalization, and purchase order procedures
• Partner with management in strategic planning and forecasting
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
  
• 5+ years of related accounting experience, including prior Controller/Assistant Controller experience
  
• Proven management or leadership experience
  
• Payroll experience-ADP
  
• QuickBooks Enterprise and/or Bill.com proficiency is a plus
  
• CPA designation preferred
  
• Highly proficient in Excel
  
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and communication skills
