Visit French Lick West Baden is the official Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) for Orange County, Indiana, dedicated to promoting the region as a premier destination for visitors, businesses, and events. From the historic French Lick Resort and West Baden Springs Hotel to scenic outdoor adventures, world-class golf courses, and vibrant local attractions, we work to highlight everything that makes our region special.

Our marketing team creates engaging content to showcase the area’s experiences, businesses, and hidden gems through social media, video production, blog posts, photography, and digital marketing campaigns.

Internship Overview:

This is an internship position that is expected to lead to full-time employment.

The Content Creator Intern will play a key role in developing engaging multimedia content to promote tourism in French Lick and West Baden. This role is perfect for a creative storyteller with a passion for social media, photography, videography, writing, and brand marketing.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in content creation, destination marketing, and digital strategy, working alongside our marketing team to bring French Lick West Baden’s story to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Social Media:

  • Create short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) highlighting attractions, events, and local experiences.
  • Design engaging social media graphics, posts, and captions for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing social media posts using scheduling tools.
  • Research and implement trending social media strategies to enhance engagement and reach.

Photography & Videography:

  • Capture high-quality photos and videos of local attractions, restaurants, events, and experiences.
  • Edit content using tools like Adobe Premiere, Canva, CapCut, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Assist with livestreams, interviews, and behind-the-scenes coverage of events.

Writing & Blogging:

  • Contribute to the Visit French Lick West Baden blog by writing engaging travel guides, event recaps, and insider tips.
  • Conduct interviews with local business owners, event organizers, and community leaders to create compelling stories.
  • Research and develop SEO-friendly content to improve website visibility.

Marketing & Tourism Promotions:

  • Help brainstorm and execute marketing campaigns to attract visitors.
  • Collaborate with local businesses and influencers for cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Assist in developing email marketing content and digital ads.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or related program.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter).
  • Experience with content creation, photography, and video editing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design/editing tools.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Passion for storytelling, tourism, and digital marketing.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and think creatively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with blogging, video production, or social media management.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, analytics, and content strategy.
  • Comfortable appearing on-camera for social media content (not required but a plus!).
