Ellaway Blues Consulting is partnering with a reputable and fast-growing commercial contractor in the DFW area to find an experienced Construction Superintendent . This role is an excellent fit for a hands-on leader who thrives in the field, values team development, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, on-schedule construction projects.

About the Role

As the Construction Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities—from safety enforcement and schedule coordination to subcontractor oversight and project closeout. You'll play a critical role in keeping the project on track, supporting the field team, and upholding the highest standards of performance, safety, and quality.

What You’ll Do

Field Leadership & Execution

• Lead all aspects of day-to-day site operations
• Develop and execute preconstruction and logistics plans
• Maintain the site utilization plan and enforce jobsite cleanliness
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to stay aligned with schedule and scope
• Track progress, review pay applications, and report jobsite activities
• Prepare and manage CPM schedules, updates, and delay narratives
• Monitor labor productivity and job costs to stay within budget

Safety & Quality Oversight

• Enforce safety standards and ensure all site teams are in compliance
• Administer the Quality Control Program throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and resolve field issues quickly to avoid delays or rework
• Mitigate and document any subcontractor changes or back-charges

Team & Talent Development

• Set expectations and drive performance across field teams
• Support onboarding and training of new team members
• Mentor staff and lead performance discussions for direct reports
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
• Strong knowledge of field operations, project sequencing, and safety compliance
• Skilled in scheduling, vendor coordination, and field documentation
• Effective leader and communicator who can motivate and manage teams
