Cokinos Young seeks a lawyer to join its Construction Litigation practice in its Houston office. Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work and manage a case independently and as part of a team. Excellent writing and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service are requirements for this role. At least 7-12 years of relevant legal experience is required.

Position & Requirements: Construction Litigation Attorney

Cokinos Young seeks an experienced attorney (senior associate, senior counsel, or entry-level principal) with 7 to 12 years of experience in construction litigation. Key Requirements:

• 7 to 12 years of experience.
• Ability to oversee, manage, and push cases independently as necessary.
• Exposure and familiarity with construction law concepts (liens, construction trust fund claims, delay claims, defect claims, bonds, and related concepts).
• Experience with client contact.
• Responsibility to make sure the court-imposed deadlines are met.
• Significant deposition/discovery experience.
• Strong academic credentials, communication, and writing skills.
• Trial and/or arbitration experience preferred.
