Job Title: Mechanical/CAD Designer

Job Type: Onsite, Direct Hire

Location: Topeka, KS

Salary Range: 50,000-80,000 (potentially negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Interview Process: 1 virtual interview, final interview onsite

Responsibilities:

• Create precise 3D models and shop drawings based on design inputs or third-party drawings
• Develop plans, sections, and details from 3D models or architectural documents for medium to large-scale projects
• Prepare production drawings with clear annotation and dimensioning, following company standards
• Manage drawing sets, revisions, and markups for each project
• Translate and plot drawings into other file formats or printed outputs
• Produce 3D visuals or renderings as needed for internal or marketing use

Qualifications:

• Proficient in 3D modeling software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Inventor
• Experience with 2D drafting using AutoCAD
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing priorities and deadlines
• Capable of interpreting and generating technical documents and engineering drawings
• Able to effectively communicate technical information, address challenges, and support project needs
