Job Description

Tiello is excited to partner with a leading provider of commercial roofing solutions in their search for a Commercial Roofing Estimator Leader to oversee the Reroof and New Construction in the Southeastern US. In this critical sales leadership role, you will be instrumental in driving growth, managing a sales team, and expanding the company’s presence in the region.

Position: Commercial Roofing Estimator Leader

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation Leadership:
  • Develop and implement best practices for accurate project costing in commercial roofing, including reroof and service projects. Leverage EDGE methodologies to enhance precision and efficiency in all estimates.
  • Project Quantification:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, and associated expenses. Utilize advanced EDGE tools and techniques to ensure competitive, reliable bids.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with project managers, field teams, and vendors to validate scope, refine assumptions, and ensure estimates align with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Bid & Proposal Support:
  • Partner with business development teams to provide technical input and cost data for competitive bid proposals, helping secure new projects and client relationships.
  • Market & Material Analysis:
  • Monitor industry trends, material price fluctuations, and emerging technologies to maintain current, accurate cost estimates that reflect market conditions.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates and bid proposals. Present detailed analysis, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management as needed.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations, promoting consistent quality across all projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in cost estimation within the commercial roofing industry, particularly for reroofing and service projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise with EDGE methodologies (certification or proven practical application is required).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and market data effectively.
  • Experience in vendor negotiation and maintaining robust supplier relationships.
