Commercial Roofing Estimator

One of the most respected Commercial Roofing companies in Louisiana is seeking an experienced, ambitious Commercial Roofing Estimator . As a Commercial Roofing Estimator , you will work on a diverse mix of new commercial roofing projects as well as reroofing projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills, crucial for a Commercial Roofing Estimator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Work in partnership with the team to identify and address issues of constructability or lack of scope during the preconstruction phase.
* Participate in the development and final review of scope, buy-out, and schedule.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
* Oversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, and a clean site.
* Work in partnership with the owner to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
* Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences, and culture.
* Demonstrate and maintain an effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the direction of the project.
* Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors, instilling this philosophy in the project team at all times.
* Maintain and review the punch list process to ensure all items are addressed and executed in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 5-15 years of experience in commercial roofing.
* The ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and scopes of work is required.
* Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
* Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
* Extensive people skills.
