Job Title: Electrical Estimator & Project Manager
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator & Project Manager with experience in both commercial and custom residential electrical projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project execution, and ensuring successful completion of electrical projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, trade partners, and clients. Key Responsibilities:
· Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
· Conduct site visits when necessary to assess project requirements.
· Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for both commercial and residential electrical projects.
· Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and engineers to ensure the accuracy of estimates.
· Research and evaluate supplier costs, subcontractor bids, and labor expenses.
· Develop and submit competitive bid proposals in a timely manner.
· Oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
· Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
· Monitor project budgets and recommend cost-saving measures where applicable.
· Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
· Utilize estimating software and project management tools to streamline processes.
· Assist in negotiations and contract preparations as needed.
· Provide leadership and guidance to project teams to drive efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator and Project Manager, with expertise in both commercial and residential projects.
· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, estimating techniques, and project management principles.
· Proficiency in estimating and project management software (such as Accubid, McCormick, Procore, or similar) preferred.
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
· Strong communication and negotiation skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Familiarity with local and national electrical codes and industry standards required.
· High school diploma or GED required; a 2 or 4 year technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
· Candidate must have completed a 4 or 5 year certified electrical apprenticeship.
