Job Description

Schnippel Construction, Inc. / Hayden Plumbing, is seeking a plumber with 10 years’ experience looking to move into a supervisor role to oversee new commercial construction plumbing projects. If you are a motivated leader with a proven track record in managing commercial plumbing installations, we want to hear from you!

Core Responsibilities:

· Supervise and assist plumbing crews, ensuring they are trained, skilled, and adhere to safety protocols.

· Ensure all plumbing installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

· Coordinate plumbing work with other trades (HVAC, electrical, general contractors) to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process.

· Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure the project stays within budget.

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide installations.

Troubleshoot issues, identify and address problems that arise during construction, and ensure efficient resolution.

· Conduct regular inspections routinely to monitor the project employee’s quality to ensure it meets project specifications.

· Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and project timelines.

· Communicate effectively with operations manager, project managers and superintendents.

· Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.

· Identify and document change order and communicate them to the project manager.

· Generate daily log reports documenting jobsite activities and communication

· Assist with testing to ensure proper installation and functioning of systems.

· Routinely inventory materials and list all materials that need purchased.

Requirements:

· Experience:  Minimum 10 years of experience in plumbing or a plumbing superintendent with 2 years’ experience.

· Licenses/Certifications:  Holding an Ohio Master Plumbing License is a Plus

· Skills: 

~ Strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation practices commercial new construction.

~ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing codes.

~ Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

~ Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage crew effectively.

· Other:

~ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

~ OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus
