Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Foothill Ranch, CA. This is a 22-week contract with the potential for an extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Specific Duties:

1. Gathers clinical data.
2. Accurately completes and maintains medical records and documentation.
3. Maintains exam rooms and pod areas. Prepares, stocks, and clean rooms.
4. Prepares and administers medications directed by the provider and within their scope of practice as outlined by the California Medical Board.
5. Schedules and informs patients regarding procedures.
6. Collects and handles specimens/ cultures following established policies and procedures.
7. Follows pain management protocols.
8. Prepares patients for procedures and assists providers.
9. Locates and uses equipment required for patient care in a safe manner and reports any equipment problems promptly.
10. Performs tests and controls for CLIA Waived testing according to policy and procedures.
11. Knowledgeable and able to perform procedures requiring clean and/or sterile technique.
12. Follows sterile instrument processing protocol.
13. Completes patient referrals.
14. Identifies and completes Insurance preauthorization process as required.
15. Knowledgeable regarding required forms.
16. Maintains supplies and equipment for treatments and assists in managing inventory. U
17. Ability and willingness to float to other OMP clinics.

Must have qualifications/experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Current CPR and / or BLS certification.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification.
• EMR experience.

Location: Foothill Ranch, CA

Job Duration: Full-time, 22 weeks

Shifts: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

Hourly Pay: $21 - $23/hour
