Title: Locums Cardiothoracic APP

Location: PORTLAND, MAINE

Royal Surgical Associates is seeking a full time cardiothoracic surgical APP (option for 2 providers to cover fulltime).

DETAILS:

• Length of coverage: 3-6 months (RSA is accepting part time (1-2 weeks/month) or full-time coverage).
• The candidate will work four 10-12 hour days per week if assigned to the OR and three 12-13 hour shifts if assigned to the ICU.
• The ICU does include overnights in house.
• The provider will have a 1 in 4 or 5 weekend responsibility. (On call from 6p Friday to 6a Monday)
• Surgical call responsibility: 1-2 week days per week from 6P-6A.
• Provider must be able to act independently in the OR, harvest veins, and operate in a high acuity ICU setting.
• Volume of Cardiac Surgery Division: 7 adult surgeons and 32 APPs; 1,600 pump cases are handled per year; Perform all cardiac surgery procedures except transplant
• EVH System: Maquet Hemopro2, one location only for coverage, no fellow or residents
