Job Description

Our client is headquartered in Raleigh but has offices in Charleston, Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, and Florence. They provide a range of services including Structured Cabling, Cellular Enhancement, A/V, and Data Center services. We have worked with Premiere since 2017 and William is a TEKsystems former. We have placed 15 techs with Premiere since 2017. Work will be in usual environments- schools & hospitals. 80-90% of the workload will be in the immediate Charleston area but there could be 10-20% travel to other Premiere branches, specifically Charlotte & Myrtle Beach. They also have a big hospital project in the Charleston area followed by another. Work hours: Premiere works toward a quality standard not a time. That being said, hours are generally 4 10's (Monday-Thursday) or 5 8 (Monday-Friday)'s but will depend on the specific crew/project our tech is assigned to. If they are traveling chances are they will work 4 10's to give them enough time to get home on Friday. Overtime will be available sometimes depending on the job, when it needs to be completed, etc.. For these hospital projects specifically there will be some shift work included due to the fact that they cant enter a OR before 5pm. They are looking for someone with solid WIFI experience, mounting AP 's for the new systems and then going back to the same foot print to remove the old. Keep one up while installing the new. They want someone who can pull 12 cables and install at least 12 AP's a day. They need someone who can not only fit into a hospital environment, but also fit into doing construction work as well. Basically doing greenfield type work with pulling, punching down and terminating cables. For the WIFI projects, someone with knowledge of MAC addresses, link lights, patching the cables into the pots, etc. They give out t-shirts and a couple collared shirts. No rips or sagging pants, no holes in shoes. There is no formal training provided for this role. There may be some direction given by Premiere technicians about specific ways Premiere likes things done but techs should have enough experience coming into this role that they know what to do on the jobsite. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
