Job Title: Business and Strategy Consultant

Location: McLean, VA

Type: Contract

Role Overview:

Rockwoods is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Consultant to support our team in developing executive-level business and strategic presentations. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of consulting experience, a strong understanding of the financial services industry, and expertise in data analysis, Excel-based charting, and presentation development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design executive-level business presentations that effectively communicate strategic insights.
• Analyze financial and business data, translating complex information into clear and compelling visual reports.
• Create Excel graphs, charts, and data models to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct industry research and provide market insights relevant to financial services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business strategies and recommendations.
• Assist in preparing materials for C-suite and board-level discussions.
• Ensure data accuracy and presentation clarity, adhering to industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2-5 years of experience in consulting, with a focus on strategy, finance, or business operations.
• Strong understanding of the financial services industry (banking, investments, fintech, etc.).
• Proficiency in PowerPoint (creating executive-level presentations) and Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualization).
• Analytical mindset with experience in data interpretation and storytelling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• Prior experience presenting to senior leadership teams.
