Job Description

Wonderful Education is seeking an Associate High School Success Coach to serve as a scholar advisor for a caseload of Wonderful Education high school students. The ideal candidate brings a passion for and experience in education/youth development, a tireless commitment to helping scholars achieve their goals no matter the barrier, and the ability to contribute to a fast-paced team.

This position requires candidates to provide in-person services to students at Wasco High School (and other high schools/sites as needed). When travel is required, all eligible mileage is expensed per IRS guidelines. A valid CA driver's license is required for this position. This is a part-time position that will require occasional evening and weekend hours.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Wonderful Education Student Case Management:

• With support of High School Success Coach(es) and Senior Manager, will support students in meeting their educational goals by working closely with them in:
  • Meeting with students on caseload on a regular basis on-site, with opportunities to do so virtually and over the phone.
  • Addressing academic challenges by providing guidance, tutoring, and/or referral to tutoring services.
  • Troubleshooting challenges inside and outside of the classroom through coaching, mentorship, and referral to appropriate services, including, but not limited to, counseling and student stress support.
• With support High School Success team will:
  • Facilitating workshops on various topics, including topics like time management and study skills.
  • Maintaining case notes and updating data for students.
  • Contacting parents regarding student-related matters.
  • Coordinating events such as study sessions.
• May be occasionally asked to support students and events at additional sites other than primary school.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish and English), preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Student in their final year of university education, preferred.
• Pursuing a degree/career in education or social services role, preferred.
• Background working with students in a support service role.
• Experience working in a high school setting.

Pay Rate: $20.00/Hour.
