Job Description

We are looking for a Freelance Assistant Technical Designer for a top fashion company in New York City.

Responsibilities:

• Represent the Company interest of universal and consistent fit and proper construction
• Assist Tech Designer with daily tasks
• Sit in/ assist on fit sessions
• Assist Tech Designer to create/ write/ update reports.
• Measuring samples against required specs, reporting results
• Communicate with Designers/factories/ vendors
• Maintain written reports, records and samples
• Update patterns for sending to factories
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Able to work in a hybrid environment, which may/will require working in person/in-office for a portion or all of a week based on the needs of the business
• In person/in-office collaboration may be required for work centralized around product development, milestone meetings, fittings, and approvals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or equivalent (or equivalent experience and education).
• Ability to act as liaison between many departments; excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Must be detail oriented, computer literate and able to handle multiple tasks at once
