We are looking for an ambitious Apprentice Finish Carpenter to join our team at FBS. Our goal is to equip you with the necessary technical skills and experience to begin a successful career in carpentry. We specialize in creating impeccably strong doors, and we are excited to work with dedicated individuals ready to learn more about the trade of carpentry.

This position is an apprentice level role so you should have prior training using power and hand tools. You will be working closely with a journeyman carpenter while receiving both on-the-job training as well as knowledge regarding how our doors are constructed. Having experience in residential construction and especially door or window installation is beneficial but not required. You must also possess an eye for detail as much of the material involves pieces that require completion with care and precision.

The duties and responsibilities of an Apprentice Carpenter include:

• Helping a journeyman carpenter perform their job duties
• Working with power tools and hand tools to finish products accurately
• Acquiring more carpentry knowledge on the job
• Keeping a safe work environment
• Setting up and maintaining tools for supervising carpenter

To qualify, you should have the following requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Driver's license & reliable mode of transportation
• Math proficiency
• Knowledgeable in common power & hand tools
• Construction background preferred but not mandatory
• Physically able enough to do strenuous tasks
